I am going to Benidorm soon and I am finding it difficult to find affordable travel insurance which covers my existing medical conditions. If I take out insurance for everything else would I be able to use the card in an emergency for these conditions.
Obviously I feel I am well enough to travel and I would not contemplate going if I thought I was going to be ill.
If anyone has been in the same situation and used their E111 card please let me know how you got on.

Hi Chris
Cant answer the question directly however some info....
While in Spain, you should call the 112 in case of emergency (to ask for an ambulance, etc.)
"Ambulatorio" and "Centro de Salud" are day centres, non especialised (general practicioners and nurses); "Centro de Especialidades" are similar but for especialists in different areas (usually you go there only after prescription from a GP):
- Ambulatorio (Servei Valencià de Salut): Avda. Juan Fuster Zaragoza, 1. Ed. Acuarium III. Telf.: 96 586 60 46.
